The Story of Kingfisher Lane
As time passes, the more I cherish memories and the connections that they hold. It was on Kingfisher Lane, years ago, that I fell in love with the seacoast and the wonders of life at the water’s edge.
I have seen many ports of call, and, in my view, there is no equal to the simple beauty of the San Juan Islands, located on Washington State’s northern coastline. It is a rugged area with clear, jade-colored water, and magnificent cedar trees that hug the shoreline. When I moved to the San Juan Islands three years ago, I fell completely under the spell of this exquisite setting and the simple lifestyle that those who live here cherish. It now seems logical to me that people who visit this unique place would want to acquire a keepsake to remember it. And so it was that Kingfisher Lane, LLC. was born. It is dedicated to helping preserve memories of this water-based community.
On the subject of memories, I prize my memories of the holidays. Decorating the tree is a very special time for me. As I unwrap each ornament, I take pleasure in remembering the person who gave it to me, what place it represents, and where on the path of life I was when I received it. In Kingfisher Lane’s ornaments, I have combined the love of my home in the San Juans and the delight of holiday ornaments. I hope they may serve as a reminder of a place you were, perhaps, fortunate enough to visit or as a keepsake of a place you, too, may call home.
